When a new movie, tv show, event or Broadway show features NYC, to support their launch, strategic partnerships with entertainment properties were formed to help amplify and create additional surround sound to shine a spotlight on NYC and the partner.
To kick off Sony’s The Smurf movie, we developed a week long activation to support Sony’s pre-movie PR week. Smurfs Week in NYC was created working with museums and attractions across the City to offer Smurf inspired events. To launch the week, an experiential Smurf Village was developed. This family fun day was developed adjacent to Central Park, right where the movie took place. The experience included, a 10-foot-tall Smurf, craft stations, photo booths, street teams and custom mushroom houses were created to remind us how much we all love those blue Smurfs!
